6.4.6.3 Using the Manual IP Address Configuration Wizard
The Manual IP Address Configuration wizard utility is used to manually configure the WAN
interface’s IP addresses when connecting to the Internet.
To manually configure the IP addresses, perform the following:
1. Click the ‘New Connection’ link in the ‘Network Connections’ screen (see Figure 6.11). The
‘Connection Wizard’ screen appears (see Figure 6.12).
2. Select the ‘Internet Connection’ radio button and click ‘Next’. The ‘Internet Connection’
screen appears (see Figure 6.13).
3. Select the ‘Ethernet Connection’ radio button and click ‘Next’. The ‘Ethernet Connection’
screen appears.

4. Select the ‘Manual IP Address Configuration’ radio button and click ‘Next’. The ‘Manual IP
Address Configuration’ screen appears.

5. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS server addresses in their
respective fields. These values should either be provided to you by your ISP or configured
by your system administrator.
