IV.2. The general directive<br />

First general directive 89/48/EEC applies to all professi<strong>on</strong>s to which access is <strong>in</strong> some way restricted by <strong>the</strong> State and which<br />

require at least three years of university-level educati<strong>on</strong>. It was adopted <strong>in</strong> December 1988 for implementati<strong>on</strong> by 4 January<br />

1991.<br />
