Summary
The main theme of this study is to analyse those studies, dissertations and critiques of the periodical Acta Comparationis
Litterarum Universarum (between 1877-1888) which could show directions to analyse the literary references in the point of view of
the cosmopolitical concept manifested in the XIX. century.
The other focus is to follow with attention that attitude of dr. Meltz Hugo, the chief editor, which has had effect on standard
requirements, and on the period as well as the contemporary reception of the journal.
My work is not only a case study. Through the perspective of Meltz it is a research of the literary medium represented by
the ACLU which however is journal, forum, canon and open system, it is the creator and the maintainer of a present- day
comparatistic tradition.
