6.2.23 An outlay of Rs. 666.00 lac as state share is provided in the Annual Plan<br />

<strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>.<br />

6.3 INTEGRATED RURAL ENERGY PROGRAMME<br />

6.3.1 This scheme was sponsored by the <strong>Planning</strong> Commission, Government of<br />

India in the 6 th Five Year Plan and was introduced in <strong>Punjab</strong> by adopting two blocks and<br />

extended to 40 blocks of the <strong>State</strong> up to 9th Five Year Plan. This scheme was funded through<br />

two components i.e. central component MNRE (salary of the staff working under IREP) and<br />

state component. Under state component, New Renewable Sources of Energy devices were<br />

provided. An outlay of Rs. 975.00 lac (<strong>State</strong> share) is provided for 11 th Five Year Plan. No<br />

expenditure has been incurred during 2007-08. An expenditure of Rs. 73.25 lac (state share)<br />

was incurred during 2008-09. As the scheme has been discontinued by MNRE, GOI,<br />

therefore, the scheme has been dropped from 2009-10.<br />
