10.3.38 An amount of Rs. 500.00 lac (ACA) received from Government of India<br />

during 2008-09 could not be released. A token provision of Rs. 1.00 lac is provided for the<br />

Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>. The project is likely to be taken up by PIDB on PPP mode.<br />

TM-13 Construction of Hostel in the Institute of Hotel Management at<br />

Bathinda<br />

10.3.39 This project was sanctioned by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India<br />

during 2007-08 with central assistance of Rs. <strong>12</strong>00.00 lac (Rs. 1000.00 lac for construction of<br />

building and girls hostel + Rs. 200.00 lacs for purchase of equipment and furniture). The<br />

foundation stone of this Institute was laid on 30-4-2008 by Hon’ble C.M, <strong>Punjab</strong>. An amount<br />

of Rs. 300.00 lac (ACA) received from Government of India during 2008-09 could not be<br />

released. Civil works of the building of the Institute have been completed and classes of<br />

diploma courses started from session 2009-10. An expenditure of Rs. 200.00 lac has been<br />

incurred (for meeting the day to day expenditure/ other requirements of the Institute) during<br />

2008-09. No expenditure was incurred during 2009-10. An expenditure of Rs. 200.00 lac has<br />

been incurred during 2010-11. The civil works of this Institute have been completed. Staff is<br />

being recruited and diploma classes would be started in the coming session.<br />

10.3.39 (i) There is an expenditure of Rs. 200.00 lac under this scheme during 2010-11.<br />

10.3.40 The Department of Tourism, <strong>Punjab</strong>, has to participate in a number of<br />

events/exhibitions in the country or abroad as recommended/sponsored by Government of<br />

India to publicize the rich culture and religious heritage through the distribution of tourist<br />

literature/CDs. A token provision of Rs. 1.00 lakh is provided in the Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong><br />
