Outlay – Rs. 1159.33 lac<br />

11.5.95 The Family Welfare programme is aimed at reducing the birth rate through<br />

various methods of contraception. This programme is implemented in all districts of the state<br />

and the required supervisory and implementing machinery has been duly appointed<br />

according to norms of staff sanctioned by the state government with prior approval of<br />

Government of India.<br />

11.5.96 An outlay of Rs. 3<strong>12</strong>0.60 lac is provided for the 11th Five Year Plan. An<br />

expenditure of Rs. 237.63 lac was incurred during 2007-08. An outlay of Rs. 619.00 lac had<br />

been provided in the Annual Plan 2008-09, against which an expenditure of Rs. 282.38 lac<br />

was incurred. An outlay of Rs. 518.00 lac was provided in the year 2009-10, against which<br />

an expenditure of Rs. 587.00 lac had been incurred. An outlay of Rs. 663.48 lac had been<br />

provided for the Annual Plan 2010-11, against which an expenditure of Rs. <strong>12</strong>31.42 lac was<br />

incurred. An outlay of Rs. 1159.33 lac is provided for the Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>.<br />

CS-9 Revamping of Organisational Services<br />

Outlay-Rs. 23.00 lac<br />

11.5.97 The programme is being looked after by the deputy director at the state<br />

headquarter and in the cities, the scheme is implemented through the medical officers at the<br />

established health posts.<br />

11.5.98 An outlay of Rs. 56.00 lac is provided for the 11 th Five Year Plan. An outlay<br />

of Rs. 11.00 lac had been provided in the Annual Plan 2008-09, against which an expenditure<br />

of Rs. 2.29 lac was incurred. An outlay of Rs. 11.00 lac was provided in the year 2009-10.<br />

An outlay of Rs. 7.38 lac had been provided for the Annual Plan 2010-11, against which an<br />

expenditure of Rs. 4.68 lac was incurred. An outlay of Rs. 23.00 lac is provided for the<br />

Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>.<br />

CS-10 Rural Family Welfare Services(funding of 2858 Sub-Centres)<br />

Outlay- Rs. 10291.21 lac<br />

11.5.99 This scheme deals with purely rural population and has, therefore, been titled<br />

as Rural Family Welfare Services. As major portion of the <strong>State</strong> population resides in<br />

villages, there is every need for providing requisite medical and health services to the rural
