India shall provide grant to the tune of 70% of the project cost eligible for financing.<br />

Remaining project cost is to be borne by state government and ULB in the ratio of 20:10.<br />

11.6.9 Against an outlay of Rs. 3000.00 lac as state share and Rs. 10500.00 lac as a<br />

central share in 2010-<strong>2011</strong>, total expenditure of Rs. 2787.11 lac ( Rs. 1495.49 CS + Rs.<br />

<strong>12</strong>91.68 SS) has been incurred. An outlay of Rs. 10000.00 lac as state share and 35000.00<br />

lac as central share is provided for the Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>.<br />

11.6.10 This project for laying sewer lines, setting up of STP’s and providing house<br />

connections has been sanctioned under JICA-ID-P186 and final loan agreement between<br />

Government of India and JICA has been signed on 30/03/2007. Total cost of the JICA<br />

funded sewerage project is Rs. 430.15 crore out of which eligible portion for JBIC funding<br />

for sewerage component of the project is Rs. 348.05 crore and non eligible portion i.e land<br />

acquisition, taxes and duties and administration cost of Rs. 82.10 crore shall be born by state<br />

government & MC Amritsar. The JICA contribution is a direct loan to MC Amritsar.<br />

11.6.11 The project is likely to be completed by March, 20<strong>12</strong> and land is to be<br />

acquired at Khapperkheri and Ghausabad under this project. The revised scope of work as<br />

approved by JICA in 2010, is construction of sewers (366 Km), Main Pumping Station (2<br />

Nos.), STP 2 Nos. (190 MLd), Sewerage House connections (45000 Nos.). An outlay of Rs.<br />

8381.00 lac has been provided in the 11 th Five Year Plan. Project Management Consultants<br />

(PMC) have been appointed. The project report has been submitted to JICA for approval.<br />

During 2008-09, an expenditure of Rs. 321.09 lac was incurred. An outlay of Rs. 8600.00<br />

lac (<strong>State</strong> Rs. 4800.00 lac + JICA Rs. 2600.00 lac+ MC Rs. <strong>12</strong>00.00 lac) was provided in the<br />

Annual Plan 2009-10 against which an expenditure of Rs. 169.05 lac was incurred during<br />

that year. The project is under progress. However, an outlay of Rs. 4000.00 lac (<strong>State</strong> Rs.<br />

2240.00 lac + JICA Rs. <strong>12</strong>00.00 lac + MC Rs. 560.00 lac) is provided for the Annual Plan<br />

2010-11 against which expenditure of Rs. 3617.51 lac has been incurred under this project<br />

during 2010-11. An outlay of Rs. 4000.00 lac (Rs. 744.80 lac <strong>State</strong> + JICA Rs. 3068.80 lac +<br />

MC Rs. 186.40 lac) has been provided for the Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>.
