11.14.<strong>12</strong> This scheme has been promoted by the Directorate General of Employment &<br />

Training (DGET), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, in order to<br />

provide skilled training to the under employed/unemployed youth to enhance their<br />

employability. The scheme has been extended to Vocational Training Providers in the private<br />

sector also. Youth will be given training in different trades as per market demand. Testing &<br />

certification will also be done of all the trades. Under this scheme, reimbursement to the<br />

Vocational Training Providers is to be made directly by DGET, Government of India. No<br />

expenditure was incurred during 2009-10 and 2010-11 respectively. A token provision of<br />

Rs.1.00 lac is provided in the Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>.<br />

CS (EG)-4: New Initiative in Skill Development through PPP (100%)<br />

11.14.13 Under this scheme unemployed youth are to be provided training. Detailed<br />

guidelines are yet to be received from Government of India. A token provision of Rs.1.00 lac<br />

is provided in the Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>.<br />

11.15 INDUSTRIAL TRAINING<br />

Outlay – Rs. 2565.30 lac<br />

11.15.1 Training of manpower for industry is one of the most significant components<br />

of human resource development. To achieve the high growth rate in industrial sector and to<br />

meet the needs of the manufacturing sector, an adequate supply of trained skilled manpower<br />

is to be ensured. As such Industrial Training Institutes have been entrusted with the<br />

responsibility of improving training in engineering and non- engineering trades. At present,<br />

there are 111 Government ITI’s and 236 ITCs functioning in the <strong>State</strong>. An outlay of Rs.<br />

<strong>12</strong>40.00 lac was provided for Industrial Training Sector in the 10 th Five Year Plan against<br />

which an expenditure of Rs. 87.70 lac was incurred. An outlay of Rs. 6153.00 lac has been<br />

provided in the 11 th Five Year Plan. An expenditure of Rs. 109.23 lac, Rs. 655.43 lac,<br />

Rs. 552.73 lac and Rs. 858.26 lac was incurred during 2007-08, 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-<br />

11 respectively. An outlay of Rs. 2565.30 lac is provided for the Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>. The<br />

details of the schemes are as under:-
