10.4.8 An amount of Rs. 1.00 lac was provided in the Annual Plan 2009-10 in<br />

anticipation of receipt of grant from Government of India for newly created districts of<br />

Mohali, Tarn Taran and Barnala. An outlay of Rs. 25.00 lac as central share is provided in<br />

the Annual Plan 2010-<strong>2011</strong>. For the Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>, an outlay of Rs. 25.00 lac as<br />

central share has been provided.<br />

CS-5 Integrated Project on Consumer Protection Scheme<br />

Outlay - Rs. 75.00 lac<br />

10.4.9 An outlay of Rs. 49.16 lac was provided in the Revised Estimate during 2009-<br />

10 against which an expenditure of Rs. 4.79 lac was incurred under this scheme. A token<br />

provision of Rs. 1.00 lac is provided in the Annual Plan 2010-11 against which an<br />

expenditure of Rs. 135.51 lac has been incurred for the building of <strong>State</strong> Headquarter.<br />

However, an outlay of Rs. 75.00 lac as central share has been provided in the Annual Plan<br />

<strong>2011</strong>-20<strong>12</strong>.<br />

CS-6 Financial assistance for conducting training programme /workshops/<br />

seminars for personnel and members of vigilance committee engaged in<br />

PDS.<br />

Outlay - Rs. 1.00 lac<br />

10.4.10 An outlay of Rs. 2.00 lac was provided in the Revised Estimate during 2009-<br />

10 against which no expenditure was incurred under this scheme. A token provision of Rs.<br />

1.00 lac is provided in the Annual Plan 2010-11. However, a token provision of Rs. 1.00 lac<br />

as central share has been provided in the Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-20<strong>12</strong>.<br />

10.5 BORDER AREA DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME<br />

Outlay - Rs. 2225.00 lac<br />

10.5.1 <strong>Punjab</strong> has a 553 Km long international border with Pakistan. At the time of<br />

partition, the three border districts (now four) of the undivided <strong>Punjab</strong>, namely Gurdaspur,<br />

Ferozepur, Tarn Taran & Amritsar were the most prosperous as they enjoyed better soil
