by the state as its share. In the 10 th Plan, the expenditure incurred was Rs. 707.61 crore.<br />

During 2007-08, the expenditure incurred was Rs. 229.07 crore. The expenditure incurred<br />

during 2008-09 and 2009-10 was Rs. 135.00 crore and Rs. 50.00 crore respectively. An<br />

outlay of Rs. 5.00 crore is provided during the year <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong> to clear the pending liabilities<br />

against the expenditure of Rs. 5.95 crore during the year 2010-11. .<br />

(ii) NABARD assisted development project for construction/ widening of<br />

roads and construction of bridges and Building Infrastructure (RIDF-<br />

8.2.6 NABARD is giving loan assistance for construction/upgradation of roads<br />

since 1997-98 in the state. During the last six years i.e 2002-03 to 2008-09 the road length of<br />

4340 km and 64 bridges have been completed with a total expenditure of Rs. 947 crore.<br />

Similarly, during the 2009-10 NABARD has approved a length of 1067 km roads and 38<br />

bridges at a total cost of Rs. 547.80 crore under RIDF-XIII, XIV , XIV(ii) and XV. On the<br />

physical side 192 km of road length has been completed and the remaining works are in<br />

progress. The expenditure incurred so far is Rs. 322 crore. To achieve a targetted road length<br />

of 876 km and 36 bridges under ongoing works, an outlay of Rs.245.00 crores is provided<br />

during <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong> against the expenditure of Rs. 244.05 crores during the year 2010-11.<br />

Besides this, RIDF XV(i) is proposed by the department with the target road length of 785<br />

km, 75 nos. of roads and 8 nos. of bridges amounting to Rs. 421.86 crore.<br />

8.2.7 The expenditure under this scheme is met from the funds provided by the<br />

Government of India. The allocation of works is sanctioned by Ministry of Surface<br />

Transport, Government of India under this scheme. In the 10 th Plan, the expenditure incurred<br />

was Rs. 190.84 crore. During 2007-08, the expenditure incurred was Rs. 52.92 crore. The<br />

expenditure incurred during 2008-09 and 2009-10 was Rs. 71.48 crore and Rs. 54.92 crore<br />

respectively. An outlay of Rs. 100.00 crore is provided during the year <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong> against the<br />

expenditure of Rs.91.33 crore during 2010-11.
