11.15.7 This scheme has been formulated on the basis of submissions announced by<br />

Hon'ble Prime Minister on 15/8/07 under National Skill Development Mission. The<br />

Department has proposed following major components:-<br />

(i) Opening of new ITIs in uncovered blocks:<br />

basis.<br />

75 new ITIs to be provided in uncovered blocks on 50:50 (CS:SS) sharing<br />

(ii) Opening of 2500 Skill Development Centres:<br />

For each Skill Development Centre, Government of India will provide grant<br />

of Rs. 4.00 lac and Rs. 4.00 lac would be provided by the state government.<br />

(iii) Providing Rs. 7500/- as training cost to Rs. 1.25 lac BPL Youth:<br />

Rs. 10,000/- has been proposed to be spent on each candidate for imparting<br />

skill training, out of which 75% will be provided by Government of India, 25% will be<br />

provided by <strong>State</strong>.<br />

This scheme has yet not been approved by Government of India. An outlay of<br />

Rs. 0.10 lac as state share is made for the Annual Plan <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong> as token provision.<br />

ITI-4 Training, re-training, seminars and study tours of staff/ trainees<br />

Outlay – Rs. 50.00 lac<br />

11.15.8 The scope of this scheme is to impart training to instructors besides<br />

conducting study tours for the trainees of the various trades. Moreover, in view of the fast<br />

changes in the technology, training on the modern machinery is necessary so that the gap<br />

between our training and market requirements could be bridged. An expenditure of Rs. 4.75<br />

lac was incurred during 10 th Plan. An outlay of Rs. 30.00 lac is provided for the 11 th Five<br />

Year Plan. An expenditure of Rs. 0.38 lac was incurred during 2008-09. No expenditutre was
