Artikel für neue Zeitschrift "Iranistik"<br />
ie neue Reihe der Zeitschrift „Iranistik“ wird von der<br />
„Iran University Press“ (Markaz-e Našr-e Dânešgâhî)<br />
in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Seminar für Iranistik der<br />
Universität Göttingen (Dr. Shahrokh Raei) veröffentlicht.<br />
„Iranistik“ ist eine deutschsprachige Zeitschrift,<br />
welche halbjährlich erscheint. Sie beschäftigt sich mit<br />
Neuiranistik, ebenso wie mit Altiranistik. Weiterhin<br />
bietet die Zeitschrift ein wissenschaftliches Forum,<br />
bezüglich der Forschung in verschiedenen Bereichen<br />
des Faches Iranistik.<br />
Die Zeitschrift akzeptiert deutsche Aufsätze, sowie<br />
Rezensionen aus verschiedenen Forschungsbereichen<br />
der Iranistik. Die angebotenen Aufsätze <strong>und</strong> Rezensionen<br />

Call for Papers on "Russian Policy towards the<br />
Middle East", The Maghreb Review<br />
Original papers are requested in English or French for<br />
a special issue on any topics related to Russian policy<br />
towards the Middle East, Iran, Turkey <strong>and</strong> the Maghreb<br />
from the earliest time to the present. Original<br />
articles on Arab, Iran <strong>and</strong> Turkey relations with Russia<br />
<strong>and</strong> Soviet from the earliest time to the present are<br />
also welcome.<br />

Articles <strong>and</strong> Reviews in “Der Islam. Journal of the<br />
History <strong>and</strong> Culture of the Middle East”<br />
“Der Islam” is a semiannual journal published by De<br />
Gruyter, Berlin. It is devoted to the study of the history<br />
<strong>and</strong> culture of the Middle East to the advent of the<br />
‘modern’ world using a wide range of sources <strong>and</strong><br />
methods to explore its political, economic, social,<br />
cultural developments. All article submissions are<br />
subject to a peer assessment by international authorities.<br />
The editors welcome contributions in English, but<br />
also in German <strong>and</strong> French. A fast publication can be<br />
assured.<br />
The journal is published in print <strong>and</strong> online. The<br />
print content of the journal includes the following:<br />
- Scholarly articles of up to 8,000 words including<br />
footnotes; each article should be accompanied by an<br />
abstract of up to 150 words. The system of transliterations<br />
follows IJMES in English texts, that of the DMG<br />
in German <strong>and</strong> French texts.<br />
- Review articles of up to 8,000 words<br />
- Book, catalogue, <strong>and</strong> exhibition reviews of up to<br />
2,500 words. Longer texts will also be considered,<br />
although the longer format must be justified <strong>and</strong> longer<br />
pieces may experience more delay in being considered<br />
<strong>and</strong> published in the journal.<br />

Islam <strong>and</strong> Christian-Muslim Relations (ICMR)<br />
Essay Competition for Early-career Scholars <strong>and</strong><br />
Researchers<br />
A prize of £500 will be awarded for an essay that in<br />
the editors’ opinion makes <strong>and</strong> original contribution to<br />
the research aims of ICMR, <strong>and</strong> is of sufficient quality<br />
to be published in the journal. It is open to students<br />
who are currently registered for doctoral research at a<br />
higher education institution, <strong>and</strong> those who have obtained<br />
a doctoral degree in the past two years.<br />
Essays will be on a topic within the general scope of<br />
the journal: The religion <strong>and</strong> culture of Islam, historical<br />
<strong>and</strong> contemporary, Islam <strong>and</strong> its relations with<br />
other faiths <strong>and</strong> ideologies, Christian-Muslim relations.<br />
The prize winning article will be published in a<br />
forthcoming issue of ICMR.<br />
All submissions must be in English, between 8,000<br />
<strong>and</strong> 12,000 words long, <strong>and</strong> must conform to the<br />
guidelines for the journal. The deadline for submission<br />
is 31 December 2012. Essays should be sent<br />
together with proof of eligibility to either Professor<br />
