a Qurayshi man from <strong>the</strong> family <strong>of</strong> Abdul Muttalib who claimed to be a Nabi had<br />

approached <strong>the</strong>m asking for <strong>the</strong>ir protection, <strong>the</strong>ir support and to be taken back<br />

to <strong>the</strong>ir area. When he heard <strong>the</strong> incident, <strong>the</strong> old man held his head and said,<br />

"Oh Banu Aamir! Can <strong>the</strong>re be any amends 'for <strong>the</strong> damage done! Can you ever<br />

grab hold <strong>of</strong> this bird's tail again! I swear by <strong>the</strong> being in whose control lies <strong>the</strong><br />

life <strong>of</strong> a person! To this day no descendant <strong>of</strong> l&aaleel has ever made a<br />

false claim to prophethood. His claim to prophethood is absolutely true. Where<br />

have you lost your senses?!"<br />

Zuhri has also narrated that Rasulullaah @@ met <strong>the</strong> Kindah tribe at <strong>the</strong> place<br />

where <strong>the</strong>y were staying while one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir leaders by <strong>the</strong> name <strong>of</strong> Mulay was<br />

with <strong>the</strong>m. Rasulullaah @% invited <strong>the</strong>m to Allaah and placed himself before<br />

<strong>the</strong>m (invited <strong>the</strong>m to accept Islaam and to assist him). However, <strong>the</strong>y refused to<br />

accept his message. (')<br />

Invites <strong>the</strong> Bani Haneefah to<br />

Islaam<br />

MuharnmadbinAbdir RahmaanbinHusayn narrates that Rasulullaah approached<br />

a family <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Banu Kalb tribe called <strong>the</strong> Banu Abdullaah at <strong>the</strong> place where <strong>the</strong>y<br />

were staying. Rasulullaah @% invited <strong>the</strong>m to Allaah and placed himself before<br />

<strong>the</strong>m (invited <strong>the</strong>m to accept Islaam and to assist him). He also said to <strong>the</strong>m,<br />

"~llaa has certainly given your fa<strong>the</strong>r a wonderful name (beciuse Abdullaah<br />

means "<strong>the</strong> servant <strong>of</strong> Allaah") However, <strong>the</strong>y refused to accept his message.<br />

Invites <strong>the</strong> Bani Haneebh to<br />

Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Ka'b bin Maalik %3!.?%% narrates that Rasulullaah @@<br />

approached <strong>the</strong> Banu Haneefah tribe at <strong>the</strong> place where <strong>the</strong>y were staying.<br />

Rasulullaah @%% invited <strong>the</strong>m to Allaah and placed himself before <strong>the</strong>m (invited<br />

<strong>the</strong>m to accept Islaam and to assist him). However, <strong>the</strong>re was not an Arab tribe<br />

that rejected his message in a manner worse than <strong>the</strong>y did. (j)<br />

Rasulullaah &@@ Invites <strong>the</strong> Banu Bakr to Islaam<br />

Hadhrat Abbaas !&%I?%<br />

narrates that Rasulullaah @%% once said to him, "I do<br />

not see any help forthcoming from yourself and your bro<strong>the</strong>r. Will you not take<br />

me to <strong>the</strong> marketplace tomorrow so that we may stop at <strong>the</strong> places where <strong>the</strong><br />

various tribes are staying?" This was during <strong>the</strong> time when all <strong>the</strong> Arabs were<br />

ga<strong>the</strong>red <strong>the</strong>re (in Makkah for <strong>the</strong> Hajj).<br />

<strong>the</strong> narration (Pg. 100) from Zuhri with <strong>the</strong> words, 'When <strong>the</strong> people left (for <strong>the</strong>ir homes), <strong>the</strong><br />

Banu Aamir returned to an old man from <strong>the</strong>ir tribe ..."<br />
