Hadhrat Aasim W3&G9 also said <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

I am Abu Sulayman with arrow made by (<strong>the</strong> expert arrow-maker) Muq'ad<br />

And with a bow that is like a kindled fire<br />

I feel no fear when a warrior comes storming on a speedy camel<br />

And my shield is made from <strong>the</strong> hide <strong>of</strong> a bull with little hair<br />

(To top it all) 1 am a firm believer in eveything reveaJed to ~uhammad @%$<br />

He is also reported to have said.<br />

ram Abu Sulaymaan and warriors like me are excellent archers<br />

I am also from a tribe that is a most honourable one<br />

Hadhrat Aasim 3G- <strong>the</strong>n fought <strong>the</strong> Mushrikeen until he and his two<br />

companions were martyred. After killing Hadhrat Aasim 4$&%NG, <strong>the</strong> Hudhayl<br />

intended to severe his head to sell it to Sulaafa bint Sa'd bin Shuhayd. When her<br />

son was killed in <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Uhud, she made a vow that if she ever got <strong>the</strong> head<br />

<strong>of</strong> Hadhrat Aasim BCw, she would drink wine from his skull. However, a<br />

swarm <strong>of</strong> wasps protected his body. When <strong>the</strong> Mushrikeen were prevented from<br />

getting to it, <strong>the</strong>y said, "Leave him until <strong>the</strong> evening when <strong>the</strong> wasps would have<br />

left. We can <strong>the</strong>n have him." Allaah <strong>the</strong>n sent heavy rains flowing down <strong>the</strong><br />

valley, which carried his body away.<br />

Hadhrat Aasim ~,E&G had made a promise to Allaah that because <strong>the</strong><br />

Mushrikeen were impure, none <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m should ever touch him and he would not<br />

touch any <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m ei<strong>the</strong>r. When <strong>the</strong> news <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> wasps protecting <strong>the</strong> body <strong>of</strong><br />

Hadhrat Aasim SiUm reached Hadhrat Umar BW, he said, "Allaah protects<br />

<strong>the</strong> Mu'min servant. Aasim 33WJG vowed that no Mushrik should touch him and<br />

that he would not touch any Mushrik during his lifetime, so Allaah prevented it<br />

from happening after his death just as Allaah prevented it during his lifetime."<br />

<strong>The</strong> Story <strong>of</strong> Hadhrat Zaid bin Dathana !&$Ew and<br />

his Statement About his Love for Rasulullaah @&!<br />

(<strong>The</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r three <strong>Sahabah</strong> i".s= in <strong>the</strong> group) Hadhrat Khubayb &GW~, Hadhrat<br />

Zaid bin Dathana BUWj and Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Taariq 4%%5$&j chose <strong>the</strong><br />

easier option and chose to remain alive. <strong>The</strong>y <strong>the</strong>refore surrendered and were<br />

taken prisoner. <strong>The</strong> Mushrikeen took <strong>the</strong>m to Makkah to sell <strong>the</strong>m. When <strong>the</strong>y<br />

reached a place called Zahraan, Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Taariq @132G4 slipped his<br />

hands from <strong>the</strong> bonds and grabbed a sword. <strong>The</strong> Mushrikeen stepped away from<br />

him started throwing rocks at him until <strong>the</strong>y eventually martyred him. His grave<br />

is in Zahraan.<br />

This left Hadhrat Khubayb Bw and Hadhrat Zaid bin Dathana !&I-. <strong>the</strong>y<br />

were taken to Makkah and exchanged for two prisoners from <strong>the</strong> Hudhayl who<br />

had been in Makkah. While Hujayr bin Abi Ihaab Tameemi bought Hadhrat<br />

Khubayb ?23Uw, Safwaan bin Umayyah bought Hadhrat Zaid bin Dathana<br />

BGWj to execute him for <strong>the</strong> death <strong>of</strong> his fa<strong>the</strong>r. Safwaan sent ,Hadhrat Zaid bin<br />

Dathana @GWj outside <strong>the</strong> Haram to Tan'eem with his slave Nistaas so that he<br />

could be executed <strong>the</strong>re.
