<strong>the</strong>n said to him, "<strong>The</strong>se teachings from Allaah are indeed very fine. I make you a<br />

witness that I have accepted Imaan and that I accept you as a true Nabi. May I<br />

now stay with you if you decide that this is appropriate." He replied, "As you can<br />

see, <strong>the</strong> people regard this Deen which I have brought as something very evil.<br />

here fore, you should return home and when you hear that I have reached <strong>the</strong><br />

place <strong>of</strong> my Hijrah, <strong>the</strong>n you may come to me."(')<br />

Rasulullaah invited Hadhrat Khaalid bin<br />

Sa'eed bin A1 Aas %%i= to Islaam<br />

Hadhrat Khaalid bin Sa'eed bin A1 Aas SiK?Ei was one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> first people to<br />

accept Islaam. He was <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> first <strong>of</strong> his bro<strong>the</strong>rs to accept Islaam. His path to<br />

~slaam started with a dream that he saw. In his dream he saw himself standing<br />

on <strong>the</strong> edge <strong>of</strong> a blazing fire. He mentioned that <strong>the</strong> fire was so large that only<br />

Allaah knows its vastness. In this dream, he saw his fa<strong>the</strong>r pushing him into <strong>the</strong><br />

fire while Rasulullaah @%! was holding him by <strong>the</strong> waist so that he should not<br />

fall in. This scene frightened him so much that he woke up with <strong>the</strong> shock. When<br />

he awakened, he said to himself, "This is definitely a true dream."<br />

<strong>The</strong>reafter, he met Hadhrat Abu Bakr BWj and related <strong>the</strong> dream to him.<br />

Hadhrat Abu Bakr % ? & said to him, "Good is in store for you. He (Rasulullaah<br />

@%) is <strong>the</strong> Nabi <strong>of</strong> Allaah so do follow him. (<strong>The</strong> interpretation <strong>of</strong> your dream is)<br />

You will follow him and enter into Islaam with him. <strong>The</strong>reafter this Islaam will<br />

save you from entering <strong>the</strong> fire <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Jahannam where your fa<strong>the</strong>r is at <strong>the</strong><br />

moment."<br />

Hadhrat Khaalid bin Sa'eed ~,!3W& <strong>the</strong>n met Rasulullaah @$% in <strong>the</strong> Ajyaad<br />

district and said to him, "0 Muhammad -@I%!<br />

To what do you call me?" He<br />

replied, "I call you to <strong>the</strong> One Allaah who has no partner and to believe that<br />

Muhammad is His servant and Rasul. I call you to renounce your worship <strong>of</strong><br />

stones that cannot hear, cannot cause harm, <strong>the</strong>y cannot be <strong>of</strong> benefit to you for<br />

<strong>the</strong>y do not even know those who worship <strong>the</strong>m from those who do not worship<br />

<strong>the</strong>m!" Hadhrat Khaalid bin Sa'eed said, "I testify that <strong>the</strong>re is none<br />

worthy <strong>of</strong> worship besides Allaah and I testify that you are <strong>the</strong> Rasul <strong>of</strong> Allaah."<br />

Rasulullaah @%% was extremely happy when Hadhrat Khaalid bin Sa'eed !W@-%<br />

accepted Islaam.<br />

Hadhrat Khaalid bin Sa'eed !&3&!2j <strong>the</strong>n stayed away from his home. When his<br />

fa<strong>the</strong>r discovered that he had accepted Islaam, he sent someone to look for him.<br />

When <strong>the</strong> person brought him before his fa<strong>the</strong>r, his fa<strong>the</strong>r rebuked him a very<br />

harshly and started beating him with <strong>the</strong> whip he had in his hand. He beat<br />

Hadhrat Khaalid W3W so severely that <strong>the</strong> whip broke as it struck his head.<br />

His fa<strong>the</strong>r <strong>the</strong>n said, "By Allaah! I shall not give you anything to eat!" To this<br />

Hadhrat Khaalid bin Sa'eed ?&%2& said, "If you do not give me anything to eat,<br />

<strong>the</strong>n Allaah shall definitely provide for me and I will pass my life." He <strong>the</strong>n left<br />
