more persistent than <strong>the</strong> du'aa Rasulullaah @%! made on <strong>the</strong> occasion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Battle <strong>of</strong> Badr. He prayed, "0 Allaah! I am beseeching You in'<strong>the</strong> name <strong>of</strong> Your<br />

promise and pledge. 0 Allaah! If this group is destroyed, You will not be<br />

worshipped." When Rasulullaah @& turned around, his face appeared to be a<br />

part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> moon as he said, "It is as if I can see <strong>the</strong> places whe're <strong>the</strong>y (<strong>the</strong> dead<br />

Mushrikeen) will lie by tonight." ('1<br />

<strong>The</strong> Du'aa Rasulullaah @@.made on <strong>the</strong> Occasions<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Uhud and <strong>the</strong> ~attke <strong>of</strong> Khandaq<br />

Hadhrat Anas B,w narrates that on <strong>the</strong> day that <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Uhud was fought,<br />

Rasulullaah repetitively said, "0 Allaah! (Do assist us) If You (choose not to<br />

assist us) none would worship You on earth." (2)<br />

Hadhrat Abu Sa'eed Khudri ~,Gm narrates that on <strong>the</strong> occasion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong><br />

Khandaq; <strong>the</strong> <strong>Sahabah</strong> ~ ,m asked Rasulullaah w, "0 Rasulullaah @I%! Is<br />

<strong>the</strong>re any du'aa that we could make on this occasion because our hearts have<br />

reached our throats." Rasulullaah k?@$ replied, "Yes," and <strong>the</strong>n recited <strong>the</strong><br />

following du'aa:<br />

"0 Allaah! Conceal our faults and calm our fears."<br />

Hadhrat Abu Sa'eed Khudri W&M completes <strong>the</strong> narration by saying, "(When we<br />

started reciting <strong>the</strong> du'aa) Allaah smote <strong>the</strong> faces <strong>of</strong> His enemies (defeated<br />

<strong>the</strong>m)by sending a powerful wind against <strong>the</strong>m." (3)<br />

Hadhrat Jaabir ~~w narrates that Rasulullaah once went'to Masjid<br />

Ahzaab and placed his shawl aside. He <strong>the</strong>n stood up and stretched his hands out<br />

to curse <strong>the</strong> Mushrikeen army. On this occasion, he did not perform any salaah.<br />

<strong>the</strong>n went <strong>the</strong>re again, again cursed <strong>the</strong>m and this time<br />

performed (two Rakaahs) salaah. (4)<br />

A narration <strong>of</strong> Bukhari and Muslim state that Rasulullaah @%%cursed <strong>the</strong><br />

conglomeration <strong>of</strong> Kuffaar forces' (when <strong>the</strong>y attacked Madinah) by saying, "0<br />

Allaah Who has revealed <strong>the</strong> Qur'aan, Who is quick in reckoning and Whb will<br />

defeat <strong>the</strong> mass <strong>of</strong> troops! 0 Allaah! Defeat <strong>the</strong>m and shake (destabilise) <strong>the</strong>m."<br />

Ano<strong>the</strong>r narration states that Rasulullaah prayed, "0 Allaah! Defeat <strong>the</strong>m<br />

and assist us against <strong>the</strong>m." Ano<strong>the</strong>r narration <strong>of</strong> Bukhari related by Hadhrat Abu<br />

Hurayra b.iW24% mentions that <strong>the</strong> du'aa Rasulullaah made was: "<strong>The</strong>re is<br />

none worthy pf worship but th'e One Allaah Who has given honour to His army,<br />

assisted His servant and defeated <strong>the</strong> coalition <strong>of</strong> forces all by Himself. <strong>The</strong>re is<br />

nothing after Him." (5)<br />

narration and Haythami (Vo1.6 Pg.82) has commented on <strong>the</strong> chain <strong>of</strong> narrators.<br />
