<strong>The</strong>y <strong>the</strong>n said, "You will <strong>the</strong>refore be <strong>of</strong> no use to me." Hadhrat Durra @Gw<br />

<strong>the</strong>n went to Rasulullaah @i%% to complain about what <strong>the</strong> women had said.<br />

Rasulullaah @& consoled her and asked her to be seated. After leading <strong>the</strong> Zuhr<br />

salaah, Rasulullaah @& sat on thk pulpit for a while and said, "0 people! What is<br />

it that I should be harmed through my family? I swear by Allaah that on <strong>the</strong> Day<br />

<strong>of</strong> Qiyaamah, I shall even intercede on behalf <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Haa, Hakam, Suda and<br />

Sahlab tribes (<strong>the</strong>refore I shall obviously intercede on behalf <strong>of</strong> my family as<br />

well)." (')<br />

Also pertinent to this chapter concerning <strong>the</strong> Hijrah <strong>of</strong> women are <strong>the</strong> narrations<br />

that have passed about <strong>the</strong> Hijrah <strong>of</strong> Hadhrat Ummu Salama C2%W, mentioned<br />

under <strong>the</strong> subheading "Hadhrat Abu Salama @,GW and Hadhrat Ummu Sal~ma<br />

Ww Migrate to Madinah". Also relevant is <strong>the</strong> Hijrah <strong>of</strong> Hadhrat Asmaa bint<br />

Umays li&3GMj and Hadhrat Ummu Abdillaah Layla bint Abi Hathma S%&3, both<br />

<strong>of</strong> which are mentioned under <strong>the</strong> heading "Hadhrat Ja'far bin Abi Taalib %,G&&j<br />

and O<strong>the</strong>r <strong>Sahabah</strong> i43Gw Migrate to /Abyssinia and <strong>the</strong>n to Madinah".<br />

<strong>The</strong> Hijrah <strong>of</strong> Hadhrat ~bdullaah bin Abbaas<br />

S,G$j&j' and o<strong>the</strong>r Children<br />

Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Abbaas 3933% says, "We reached Rasulullaah @?&$ five<br />

years after he had made Hijrah and were with <strong>the</strong> Quraysh when <strong>the</strong>y marched<br />

during <strong>the</strong> year in which <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Ahzaab was fought. I was with my bro<strong>the</strong>r<br />

Fad1 and our slave Abu Raafi was with us. When we reached a place called Arj, we<br />

lost our way -and instead <strong>of</strong> taking <strong>the</strong> Rakooba road, we took <strong>the</strong> Jathjaatha<br />

road. We eventually arrived in <strong>the</strong> locality <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Banu Arnr bin Awf (Quba) from<br />

where we entered Madinah. We found Rasulullaah &@% in <strong>the</strong> trench (that was<br />

dug around Madinah). I was <strong>the</strong>n eight years old while my bro<strong>the</strong>r was<br />

thirteen."(2)<br />
