fur<strong>the</strong>r asked him, "Which god do you call for when you are in difficulty?"<br />

replied, "I have seven gods on earth and one in <strong>the</strong> sky." Rasulullaah rn<br />

~adhrat Husayn replied, "I <strong>the</strong>n call <strong>the</strong> one in <strong>the</strong> sky." Rasulullaah @%<br />

said, 'Who do you call when your wealth gets destroyed?" He replied, "<strong>The</strong> one in<br />

<strong>the</strong> sky." Rasulullaah k%?& said, "It is strange that only this one God comes to<br />

your assistance yet you associate <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>rs as partners to him! Do you have<br />

permission from <strong>the</strong> gods in <strong>the</strong> sky to associate.<strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>rs as His partners? Or<br />

are you afraid <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se o<strong>the</strong>r gods thinking that <strong>the</strong>y will harm you if you do not<br />

associate <strong>the</strong>m as partners?" Hadhrat Husayn ?&Xi&% replied, "Nei<strong>the</strong>r <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se<br />

two statements is correct." Hadhrat Husayn %JW&i says, "It <strong>the</strong>n occurred to me<br />

that I had never spoken to such a great personality before this." Rasulullaah @@<br />

said fur<strong>the</strong>r, "0 Husayn! Become a Muslim and you will live in peace." Hadhrat<br />

Husayn &GW5 responded by saying, "What about my people and my family?<br />

(What would <strong>the</strong>y say if I accept Islaam?) What am I to do now?"<br />

~asulullaah &%$ advised him to recite <strong>the</strong> following du'aa:<br />

"0 Allaah! I seek your guidance towards that which is more correct and increase<br />

me in knowledge that will benefit me."<br />

Hadhrat Husayn recited this du'aa and was a Muslim before he stood up from <strong>the</strong><br />

ga<strong>the</strong>ring. At that instant, his son Hadhrat Imraan !i3!S&G immediately stood<br />

up and began kissing <strong>the</strong> head, hands and feet <strong>of</strong> his fa<strong>the</strong>r. Rasulullaah @?@<br />

began weeping when he saw this and said, "I am weeping because I was touched<br />

by what Imraan has done. He did not stand for his fa<strong>the</strong>r nor pay any attention to<br />

him when he entered as a Kaafir. However, he fulfilled <strong>the</strong> right <strong>of</strong> his fa<strong>the</strong>r once<br />

his fa<strong>the</strong>r entered <strong>the</strong> fold <strong>of</strong> Islaam."<br />

When Hadhrat Husayn ?ii%%l%<br />

stood up to leave, Rasulullaah @?% said to <strong>the</strong><br />

o<strong>the</strong>rs, "Stand up and take himhome."Assoon as Hadhrat Husayn SlGW emerged<br />

from <strong>the</strong> doorway, <strong>the</strong> people <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Quraysh (who had been waiting <strong>the</strong>re for<br />

him) saw him and said, "He has forsaken his religion." <strong>The</strong>y <strong>the</strong>n left him and<br />

dispersed.<br />

&$% Invites an Unnamed<br />

man to Islaam<br />

Hadhrat Abu Tameema Hujaymi iZdl3W narrates from a man <strong>of</strong> his tribe that he<br />

once came to meet Rasulullaah @%%. It could have been such that Hadhrqt Abu<br />

Tameema 43%@!.% was present <strong>the</strong>re when <strong>the</strong> man came to Rasulullaah W.<br />

<strong>The</strong> man said, "Are you <strong>the</strong> Nabi <strong>of</strong> Allaah?" 'Yes," replied Rasulullaah @%.<br />

"Whom do you pray to?" he asked. "I pray to <strong>the</strong> One Allaah Who is Most<br />

Honoured and Most High. He is <strong>the</strong> One Who removes your difficulty when you<br />

call to Him. It is He Who causes your crops to grow when you call to Him to<br />

remove your drought. It is He Who responds to your prayer when you call Him at<br />

<strong>the</strong> time when you are lost in a rocky land without transport." <strong>The</strong> man accepted<br />

Islaam immediately and <strong>the</strong>n asked for advice. Rasulullaah @?% said, "Do not<br />
