Ano<strong>the</strong>r narration from Hadhrat Anas 9Gw states that Rasulullaah @% said to<br />

<strong>the</strong> Ansaar, "You are like under clothing to me while o<strong>the</strong>rs are like outer<br />

garments. Does it not please you to know that while o<strong>the</strong>r people return home<br />

with goats and camels, you should return home with <strong>the</strong> Rasool <strong>of</strong> Allaah m?"<br />

"Most certainly!" <strong>the</strong>y replied. Rasulullaah @?% <strong>the</strong>n added, "<strong>The</strong> Ansaar are like<br />

an abdomen to me and a place where special clothing is kept (<strong>the</strong>y are very close<br />

to me). If everyone walks a valley and <strong>the</strong> Ansaar walk ano<strong>the</strong>r valley, I shall walk<br />

<strong>the</strong> valley <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Ansaar and had it not been for (<strong>the</strong> great virtue <strong>of</strong>) Hijrah, I<br />

would have been a man from <strong>the</strong> Ansaar." (2)<br />

<strong>The</strong> Qualities <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Ansaar '~~b%?j<br />

Hadhrat Anas ~ ,Gm narrates that when some wealth came to Rasulullaah @@<br />

from Bahrain whilst <strong>the</strong> Muhaajireen and Ansaar heard about it from each o<strong>the</strong>r,<br />

<strong>the</strong>y came to Rasulullaah early in <strong>the</strong> morning. <strong>The</strong> rest <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Hadith is<br />

lengthy, but in it Rasulullaah k%% mentioned to <strong>the</strong> Ansaar, "As far as I know,<br />

you people turn out in large numbers when situations are hazardous and turn<br />

out in small numbers when <strong>the</strong> occasion arrives for receiving something (you are<br />

always <strong>the</strong>re to assist o<strong>the</strong>rs and care little about receiving things for<br />

yourselves) ." (3)<br />

Hadhrat Anas 5Ww narrates that Rasulullaah k%% once said to Hadhrat Abu<br />

Talha ''<br />

%Asw, "Convey my Salaam to your people (<strong>the</strong> Ansaar) and inform <strong>the</strong>m<br />

that as far as I know, <strong>the</strong>y are extremely chaste and patient people." (4) Ano<strong>the</strong>r<br />

narration from Hadhrat Anas ?ZJGW states that when Hadhrat Abu Talha %,-<br />

visited Rasulullaah during <strong>the</strong> illness in which Rasulullaah passed<br />

away, Rasulullaah said to him, "Convey my Salaam to your people (<strong>the</strong><br />

Ansaar) for <strong>the</strong>y are extremely chaste and patient people." (5)<br />

<strong>The</strong> Statement <strong>of</strong> Rasulullaah @& when Hadhrat<br />

Sa'd bin Mu'aadh !&5(;w$j Passed Away<br />

Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Shaddaad B,Gw narrates that Rasulullaah visited<br />

Hadhrat Sa'd bin Mu'aadh Wiw as he was on his deathbed. Rasulullaah<br />

said, "0 chief <strong>of</strong> his people! May Allaah reward you well. You have fulfilled <strong>the</strong><br />

pledge you made to Allaah and Allaah shall certainly fulfil His pledge to you." (6)<br />

Hadhrat Aa'isha @G@j narrates that Rasulullaah said, "No harm can come<br />

to a woman whe<strong>the</strong>r she stays between two homes <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Ansaar or between her<br />

own parents." (7)<br />
