hereafter, <strong>the</strong> Banu Najjaar tribe pressurised Hadhrat Mus'ab bin Umayr<br />

@,CW1s host Hadhrat As'ad bin Zuraarah %,EM and Hadhrat Mus'ab bin Umayr<br />

SEW was forced to stay with Hadhrat Sa'd bin Mu'aadh ~ ,EW. <strong>The</strong>re he<br />

continued his Da'wah and Allaph guided people at his hands until <strong>the</strong>re was<br />

scarcely a home <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Ansaar that did not have Muslims in it. Even <strong>the</strong> leaders <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> Ansaar accepted Islaam, inchding Hadhrat Amr bin Jamooh !&lGWj. <strong>The</strong> idols<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Ansaar were even broken. <strong>The</strong> Muslims became dominant in Madinah and<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir affairs ran smoothly. Hadhrat Mus'ab bin Umayr %3W later returned to<br />

~asulullaah with <strong>the</strong> title <strong>of</strong> "A1 Muqri" ("<strong>The</strong> Mentor"). ('I<br />

Ano<strong>the</strong>r narration states that <strong>the</strong> Ansaar sent Hadhrat Mu'aadh bin Afraa !&l,Ewj<br />

and Hadhrat Raafi bin Maalik !&l.E@!G to Rasulullaah @& to send someone to<br />

<strong>the</strong>m who would call people towards <strong>the</strong> Book <strong>of</strong> Allaah because this would<br />

cause people to accept more readily. Rasulullaah b?@% <strong>the</strong>refore sent Hadhrat<br />

Mus'ab bin Umayr BUM. <strong>The</strong> rest <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> narration is similar to <strong>the</strong> one above.(2)<br />

Rasulullaah @@ Dispatches Hadhrat Abu<br />

Umaamah B,GW to his People <strong>the</strong> Baahilah tribe<br />

Hadhrat Abu Umaamah %Gwj narrates that Rasulullaah @$% sent him to<br />

invite his people to Allaah and to present <strong>the</strong> injunctions <strong>of</strong> Islaam to <strong>the</strong>m.<br />

When he arrived, his people had already watered <strong>the</strong>ir camels, milked <strong>the</strong>m and<br />

drunk <strong>the</strong> milk. When <strong>the</strong>y saw him, <strong>the</strong>y exclaimed, "Welcome 0 Suday bin<br />

~jlaan(~)! We heard that you have defected to that man." He replied, "I have ra<strong>the</strong>r<br />

believed in Allaah and His Rasool and Rasulullaah k%% has sent me to<br />

present Islaam and its injunctions to you." As <strong>the</strong>y spoke, a platter <strong>of</strong> food was<br />

brought and placed before <strong>the</strong>m. As <strong>the</strong>y ga<strong>the</strong>red around <strong>the</strong> platter to eat, <strong>the</strong>y<br />

said, "Come and join us, 0 Suday!" He responded by saying, "Shame on you! I<br />

have just come to you from someone who forbids this sort <strong>of</strong> food save for those<br />

animals that you slaughter." <strong>The</strong>y asked, "What has he to say?" Hadhrat Abu<br />

Umaamah BGw<br />

Forbidden for you (foryou to eat) is ~ a~ta(~), blood'(that flows lrom an<br />

(4) Although commonly translated as "carrion", <strong>the</strong> Arabic word "Mayta" refers to <strong>the</strong> meat <strong>of</strong> animals<br />

that die without being slaughtered in <strong>the</strong> name <strong>of</strong> Allaah as well as <strong>the</strong> meat <strong>of</strong> a limb that is<br />

removed from a living animal. <strong>The</strong> only lawful things that can be eaten without slaughtering are<br />

fish and locusts.
