Hadhrat Umar Bw replied, 'Your people want to kill me because I have<br />

accepted Islaam.' Aas bin Waa'il said, '<strong>The</strong>y can do nothing to you (for you are in<br />

my protection).' I felt safe once he said this. He <strong>the</strong>n left and met up with so<br />

many people that <strong>the</strong>y filled <strong>the</strong> valley. When he asked <strong>the</strong>m where <strong>the</strong>y were<br />

headed, <strong>the</strong>y replied, 'We want that son <strong>of</strong> Khattaab who has forsaken his<br />

religion.' Aas bin Waa'il said, 'You can do him nothing.' <strong>The</strong> people <strong>the</strong>n all<br />

dispersed." ('I<br />

Hadhrat Uthmaan ~~~ Endures Hardships and<br />

difficulties<br />

Hadhrat Muhammad bin Ibraheem Taymi narrates that when Hadhrat Uthmaan<br />

bin Affaan U,Wj accepted Islaam, his uncle Hakam bin Abil Aas bin Umayyah<br />

securely bound him in ropes. He <strong>the</strong>n said to Hadhrat Uthmaan %,Gw, "Have<br />

you turned away from <strong>the</strong> creed <strong>of</strong> your forefa<strong>the</strong>rs and turned to a new<br />

religion?" I swear by Allaah that I shall never release you until you forsake <strong>the</strong><br />

religion you follow." Hadhrat Uthmaan @,w replied, "I swear by Allaah that I<br />

shall never leave it." When Hakam saw how steadfast Hadhrat Uthmaan @Gw<br />

was in his religion, he released him. (2)<br />

Hadhrat Talha $B@m Endures Hardships and<br />

difficulties<br />

Hadhrat Mas'ood bin Khiraash !3#3Wj narrates, "While we were walking between<br />

Safa and Marwa, we saw a large group <strong>of</strong> people following a young man whose<br />

arn was in a sling around his neck. When I asked who <strong>the</strong> man was, I was told<br />

that he was Talha bin Ubaydillaah who had accepted Islaam. Behind him was a<br />

woman who was furious and swearing - him. When 1 asked who <strong>the</strong> woman was, I<br />

was informed that she was his mo<strong>the</strong>r Sa'ba bint Khadrami." (3)<br />

Hadhrat Ibraheem bin Muhammad bin Talha narrates that Hadhrat Talha bin<br />

Ubaydillaah ?BW% once told him, "I once visited <strong>the</strong> fair in Busra (in Shaam)<br />

when I heard a monk announce from his monastery, 'Ask <strong>the</strong> people in this fair if<br />

anyone <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m is from <strong>the</strong> Haram.' I said, 'Yes! I am.' He asked, 'Has Ahmad<br />

made his appearance yet?' 'Who is Ahmad?' I asked. He replied, 'He is <strong>the</strong> son <strong>of</strong><br />

Abdullaah and <strong>the</strong> grandson <strong>of</strong> Abdul Muttalib.' ~ qis<br />

<strong>the</strong> month when he will<br />

make his appearance and he is <strong>the</strong> last <strong>of</strong> all <strong>the</strong> ~mbiyaa. His origin will be from<br />

<strong>the</strong> Haram and <strong>the</strong> place to which he will migrate will be a place with date<br />

orchards and land that is rocky and salty. Beware that o<strong>the</strong>rs do not beat you to<br />

him."'<br />

Hadhrat Talha UWj says fur<strong>the</strong>r, "His words affected my heart and 1 rushed<br />

back to Makkah. When I arrived and asked people if anything had developed<br />

recently, <strong>the</strong>y replied, 'Yes. Muhammad <strong>the</strong> son <strong>of</strong> Abdillaah (who is known by<br />
