<strong>the</strong>m <strong>of</strong>f?" Hadhrat Abu Bakr %,G%G replied, "Because we have helped <strong>the</strong>m<br />

prepare, have seen <strong>the</strong>m <strong>of</strong>f and are making du'aa for <strong>the</strong>m (we shall <strong>the</strong>refore<br />

also share in <strong>the</strong> rewards <strong>of</strong> going out in <strong>the</strong> path <strong>of</strong> Allaah)." (')<br />

Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Umar ~,Gbj Sees <strong>of</strong>f Some<br />

People Proceeding in <strong>the</strong> path <strong>of</strong> Allaah<br />

Hadhrat Mujaahid reports that as he was proceeding in <strong>the</strong> path <strong>of</strong> Allaah,<br />

Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Umar $%%% came to see <strong>the</strong>m <strong>of</strong>f. As Hadhrat Abdullaah<br />

bin Umar @,aw was about to part from <strong>the</strong>m, he said, "I have nothing to give<br />

you, but I have heard Rasulullaah say that whenever something is handed<br />

over in Allaah's care, Allaah protects it. I <strong>the</strong>refore hand over in Allaah's care,<br />

your Deen, your trusts and <strong>the</strong> results <strong>of</strong> your deeds." (2)<br />

Welcoming those Returning from <strong>the</strong> path<br />

<strong>of</strong> Allaah<br />

<strong>The</strong> People Came Outside Madinah when <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>Sahabah</strong> W,UW Returned from <strong>the</strong>ir Expedition to<br />

Tabook<br />

Hadhrat Saa'ib bin Yazeed @Gm says, "<strong>The</strong> people (<strong>of</strong> Madinah) came to<br />

welcome Rasulullaah $$@% when he returned from <strong>the</strong> expedition to Tabook. I<br />

also met him along with o<strong>the</strong>r children at Thaniyyatul Wadaa." (3)<br />

Hadhrat Saa'ib bin Yazeed BGw also reports, "When Rasulullaah @@ returned<br />

from <strong>the</strong> expedition to Tabook, <strong>the</strong> people came out <strong>of</strong> Madinah to Thaniyyatul<br />

Wadaa to welcome him. Still a boy <strong>the</strong>n, I also accompanied <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>rs." (4)<br />

Proceeding in <strong>the</strong> path <strong>of</strong> Allaah During<br />

<strong>the</strong> month <strong>of</strong> Ramadhaan<br />

Rasulullaah @@ Proceeds to Badr and to Makkah<br />

during <strong>the</strong> Month <strong>of</strong> Ramadhaan<br />

Hadhrat Umar WZ%% says that it was during Ramadhaan that <strong>the</strong>y marched<br />

with Rasulullaah &%% for <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Badr and for <strong>the</strong> conquest <strong>of</strong><br />

Makkah. (5)<br />

Ano<strong>the</strong>r narration quotes that Hadhrat Umar ?3Gh& said, "We marched on two<br />

military expeditions with Rasulullaah @.,%during Ramadhaan; <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Badr<br />

and <strong>the</strong> conquest <strong>of</strong> Makkah. On both occasions, we did not fast." (6)<br />
