prevent you from trading with in our land."<br />

Hadhrat Mughiera 4 ?2 said to him, 'We have no desire for this world. Our<br />

concern and our sole objective is <strong>the</strong> Aakhirah. Allaah has sent a Nabi to us and<br />

said to him, 'I shall give this group (<strong>Sahabah</strong>'EWW) control over those who do<br />

not adopt My Deen. Thus shall I use <strong>the</strong>m to exact (revenge from those who reject<br />

<strong>the</strong> Deen. I shall allow <strong>the</strong>m to dominate as long as <strong>the</strong>y adhere to <strong>the</strong> Deen. It is<br />

<strong>the</strong> true Deen and whoever turns away from it shall be disgraced. On <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

hand, whoever holds fast to it shall have great honour."'<br />

Rustam asked, "What is this Deen?" Hadhrat Mughiera %%@& said, "Its pillars<br />

without which no part <strong>of</strong> it can be correct are testification that <strong>the</strong>re is none<br />

worthy <strong>of</strong> worship but Allaah, that Muhammad @@ is Allaah's Rasul and<br />

accepting everything that Rasulullaah @?@ has brought from Allaah." Rustam<br />

exclaimed, "How excellent! And what else?" Hadhrat Mughiera %%5&!kj said, 'To<br />

remove people from being slaves <strong>of</strong> people and to take <strong>the</strong>m towards being<br />

<strong>the</strong> slaves <strong>of</strong> Allaah." Rustam remarked, "This is also excellent. What else?"<br />

Hadhrat Mughiera added, "All <strong>of</strong> mankind are <strong>the</strong> children <strong>of</strong> Aadam %%$<br />

and have a single fa<strong>the</strong>r and mo<strong>the</strong>r."<br />

Rustam said, "This is also excellent. Tell me. If we were to enter your religion,<br />

would you <strong>the</strong>n leave our land?" "Certainly," replied Hadhrat Mughiera !i%Wj,<br />

"By Allaah! In that case, we shall not draw close to your land except for trade or<br />

some o<strong>the</strong>r necessity." Rustam said, "This is also excellent." <strong>The</strong> narrators says,<br />

'When Hadhrat Mughiera Ww left Rustam, he spoke to his commanders about<br />

Islaam but <strong>the</strong>y were unhappy and refused to accept Islaam. May Allaah destroy<br />

and disgrace <strong>the</strong>m! In fact, Allaah did just that.''<br />

<strong>The</strong> narrators state fur<strong>the</strong>r that at <strong>the</strong> request <strong>of</strong> Rusiam, Hadhrat Sa'd !&%@&<br />

sent ano<strong>the</strong>r envoy who happened to be Hadhrat Rib'ee bin Aamir !Z@&%. When<br />

Hadhrat Rib'ee 4%$3&j arrived, <strong>the</strong> court <strong>of</strong> Rustam had been decorated. <strong>The</strong>re<br />

were cushions decorated with gold, rugs <strong>of</strong> silk, gleaming emeralds, priceless<br />

pearls and o<strong>the</strong>r elaborate decorations. Rustam wore his drown and o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

expensive garments and accessories as he sat on a throne <strong>of</strong> gold. Wearing old<br />

clothing, Hadhrat Rib'ee ~,W> entered with his sword, his shield and<br />

undersized horse. He continued riding <strong>the</strong> horse, even trampling on <strong>the</strong> edges <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> rugs. He <strong>the</strong>n dismounted and tied his horse on one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> couches. He <strong>the</strong>n<br />

walked along with his weapons and armour still wearing his helmet.<br />

When <strong>the</strong> courtiers asked him to remove his weapons, he said, "I have not come<br />

<strong>of</strong> my own accord but have come on your request. Ei<strong>the</strong>r leave me as I am or<br />

grant me leave." Rustam instructed <strong>the</strong>m to grant him entry and he came with<br />

his 5pear, which tore most <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> rug as he walked while leaning on it. <strong>The</strong><br />

courtiers asked, "What brings you here?" Hadhrat Rib'ee replied, "(We<br />

have not come on our own accord but) Allaah has sent us to remove those
