Configuring the IDMC Profile Monitor
3. Enter the IP Address of the Cisco Communication Manager.
4. Select the SNMP version being used.
5. Enter the sampling rate.
6. To verify that the monitor will work as configured, click the
Test button. The Monitor Test window provides information
about the success or failure of the test and indicates what may
be causing any problem.
7. If the test succeeds, click OK in the Add Monitor dialog box to
save these settings. You can now add this monitor to a monitor
group. Refer to “Adding Monitor to a Monitor Group” in
Chapter 4.
Configuring the IDMC Profile Monitor
The IDMC (Intelligent Data Mediation and Correlation) Profile
Monitor monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are
received from Empirix IDMC.
IDMC profile monitors cannot be created directly in Empirix
OneSight. Instead, monitors and metrics are created automatically
based on the configuration information received from the Empirix
IDMC system. To keep Empirix IDMC and Empirix OneSight
synchronized with one another, metrics cannot be added in
OneSight. Metrics can only be edited and deleted. Alerts can be
added, edited, and deleted.
Note: After the monitors are created, sampling does not occur until
the monitors are placed in a monitor group.
When you choose to edit an IDMC monitor, settings to configure an
IDMC profile monitor appear on these dialog box tabs:
Locations Tab – Specifies the Data Collector Location from which
the monitor checks performance.
