Creating SLOs
Availability – lets you configure an availability SLO. For
example, the target may be that the monitor must be available
95% of the time.
Time Interval – select the time interval during which the target
must be met. These intervals are configured by selecting Time
Intervals from the Configure menu.
Target – enter the percentage of time that the monitor must be
available, up to 99.999%.
Send Availability Warning – lets you configure when the monitor
is considered to be in a warning state. If you set up a schedule
when you created the SLA, this configuration determines when
an email is sent.
Aggregation – select how to aggregate the results, daily,
weekly, monthly, or user-configured date interval.
Warning Level – enter the percentage at which the monitor is
considered to be in a warning state. This percentage must be
higher than the target percentage. When the SLO goes below
this percentage, a notification is sent.
Grace Period – enter the length of time, in minutes, to wait
before considering availability to be a problem. For example, if
you enter fifteen minutes, the sample failure must occur for
fifteen minutes before being considered a problem. The
availability report will ignore the failure samples within this
outage.
Metric Performance – lets you configure a metric performance
SLO. For example, 95% of the samples should be less than 5
seconds.
Time Interval – select the time interval during which the target
must be met. These intervals are configured by selecting Time
Intervals from the Configure menu.
