Using the JMX Proxy
To uninstall the JMX Proxy automatically:
1. Start the JMX Proxy uninstaller.
2. Click I Agree to accept the license agreement.
3. Enter the data collector host and port numbers.
4. Double-click uninstall.exe and follow the wizard to uninstall.
Installing JMX Proxy Manually
To install the JMX Proxy manually:
1. Copy either the Proxy15 or Proxy14 folder located in the
\JMXProxy folder and rename it to a
meaningful name. Note that the folder name cannot contain
spaces.
2. Edit the service name and description located in the
\properties\proxy_win_service.properties file in the newly created
folder. The service.name is the name for the new JMX Proxy
service and must be unique. The service.description is the
name that will be displayed in the Services console.
3. Double click the installService.bat file located in the \bin folder
in the new proxy folder. This command registers the service
into Windows.
4. Open the Services console by clicking Start, Settings, Control
Panel, Administrative Tools, Services.
5. Select the new JMX Proxy service and click Start.
Configuring the JMX Proxy
The JMX Proxy configuration file is
\properties\service.properties. It contains the following
