Configuring Port Monitors
2. The Monitor Types box lists all of the types of monitors that
can be applied to your monitor group. Click Port to add a
monitor that confirms that a port on a host is responding. Use
settings on the General tab to configure each Port monitor.
Use the options on this tab to specify the host name and port to
be monitored.
Import/Export – Click this button to display the Import Export
Monitors dialog box for importing or exporting monitors of this
type. Refer to ―Exporting and Importing Monitors,‖ later in this
chapter for more information.
Host Address – Specifies the name or IP address of the host.
Port – Specifies the port you want to monitor. Click the arrow
to select from a variety of common ports. If the port you want to
monitor is not listed, select Other and type in the port number.
Timeout Seconds – Specifies the number of seconds to wait
for a reply.
