Editing VQ Probes
Note: If you need to use a non-numeric extension, create a
channel group with a length of one. Any value can then be
entered in the Start Extension field.
Delete mapping – Deletes the associated mapping group.
4. Click Add new mapping to display the next group of fields for
configuring consecutive channels and their extensions.
Note: The configured channels should be dedicated for use only
for VQ monitoring from OneSight and should not be used for
any other functions.
5. Enter the first channel.
6. Enter the first extension. The configured extensions will be
displayed in the Dial Number field on the Configure OneSight
Voice Quality Monitor page.
7. Enter the number of consecutive channels.
8. Repeat steps 4-7 for additional channel groups.
9. Click OK when you are finished.
Changing or Adding IP Addresses
If your VQ Probe is using only one IP address and one channel, and
you need to change the IP address, you must stop the VQ Probe
Data Collector and change the IP address. In addition, before
restarting the Data Collector, update the Comm.ConnectFrom field
with the IP address to use to connect to Empirix OneSight and
update the PackageAgentName in the OSDC.properties file. If you
do not, the VQ Probe may fail to connect to Empirix OneSight.
If your VQ Probe is using one IP address and one channel group
with unique IP addresses for each channel, and you want to increase
the number of channels, you must update the OSDC.properties file
