OneSight Agent Proxy The Agent Proxy allows connections to be made from Data Collectors and Remote Agents to the OneSight server through a single connection from the Agent Proxy to the OneSight Server as shown in the following diagram. Agent Proxy DC1 Firewall OneSight Agent1 Agent2 DC2 Note: The Agent Proxy only works with the STD protocol that OneSight uses to communicate with the Data Collectors and Remote Agents. It will not pass HTTP traffic. To install the Agent Proxy you must complete the following steps: Install the Agent Proxy Configure Data Collectors and Remote Agents Configure OneSight Debug Installing the Agent Proxy 1. From the OneSight Server, copy the service.exe, proxy.exe and proxy.properties files from the \Empirix\OneSight\bin directory to the \Empirix\OneSight\Proxy directory on the proxy machine. 3. On the proxy machine, open the proxy.properties file and make the following changes: Proxy.imagepath = \..\bin\Proxy.exe Proxy.startupdir = \..\bin To: Proxy.imagepath = \..\Proxy\Proxy.exe Proxy.startupdir = \..\Proxy Note: The directory change must match the directory where the proxy.exe file exists, as recommendation above. If you use a different directory, make the appropriate changes. 4. Make any other necessary modifications. For example, you may need to change the default proxy listening port or specify a password for accessing the proxy. The defaults are port 5007 and a blank password. 5. Save the file. 6. You can now install the proxy as a service. From a command window, type the following: C:\Empirix\OneSight\Properties>C:\Empirix\OneSight\B in> service -install -param proxy.properties Note: If there are errors, see the debugging section later in this chapter. 7. Start the proxy service from the services window. The Service is listed as Empirix OneSight Agent Proxy.
