Configuring OneSight Compound Metric Monitors
OneSight Compound Metric Examples
Monitor States
This example returns a 1 if monitor1 is in a critical state and
monitor2 is in a good state is true and a 0 otherwise. In the Add
Reference dialog box create the following two monitors:
Monitor 1
Monitor 2
Name – monitor1
Reference Type – Monitor State
Monitor Group – Select a monitor group
Monitor – Select a monitor
No other fields need to be entered.
Name – monitor2
Reference Type – Monitor State
Monitor Group – Select a monitor group
Monitor – Select a monitor
No other fields need to be entered.
Enter the following expression on the Expression tab:
(monitor1=red AND monitor2=green)? 1 : 0
Derived Value based on more than one monitor
This example creates an expression that returns the average page
retrieval time for three URL monitors. In the Add Reference dialog
box create the following three monitors:
Monitor 1
Name – url1
Reference Type – Metric Value
Monitor Group – Select a monitor group
Monitor – Select a URL monitor
Metric – Select URL Retrieval Time
Entity – Select an entity
No other fields need to be entered.
