Configuring Custom Status Views
URL of Critical State Icon – Enter the location of the icon you
want to use when the monitor group or monitor is in a critical
state or click Browse to navigate to the image.
URL of Other States Icon – Enter the location of the icon you
want to use when the monitor group or monitor is in a state
other than good, warning, or critical, or click Browse to
navigate to the image.
Status Icon Tips – Following are some tips for using status
icons.
To create conditional “special effect,” such as a popup,
specify alternative images for the status icons.
To make your status icons stand out on a colored background
images, set the opacity of the background images to between
20-50%.
Use the pin_.png status icon images when adding a
monitor or monitor group status of a map for pushpin look.
Use the monlight_blank.gif status icon images to show nothing
when appropriate.
Show Metric Value – This option is only available for monitor
items. A dialog box is displayed that lets you select the metric
value that you want to display. The text field is automatically
filled in with the appropriate values in the
%value:componentID:metricID% variable.
Text – Enter the text that you want to display next to the
gumball or click Show Metric Value to select a metric whose
value you want to display. The Text field is automatically filled
in when you select a metric value. Use the monlight_blank.gif
icon to only display the value.
Preview – Displays the item in a separate window.
3. Enter a name for the item or let OneSight create a name.
