MIB Browser MIB Browser 6. Click Test. The results are displayed in the Test Results field. The MIB Browser lets you view objects in a MIB file. You can then copy an OID and paste it into OneSight when you are configuring monitors. You can also select objects and create metrics and profiles using the Metric Creation Wizard. To view a MIB file: 1. Click the Configure menu. 2. Click MIB Browser. This dialog box has the following options: Load MIB – Enter the MIB file that you want to browse or select Browse to find a file. 898 OneSight Administrator Guide
MIB Browser MIB Configuration Host – Specify the name or IP address of the host. Community – Specify the SNMP password of the system. The default SNMP community string is public. Port – Specify the port number used on this system by the SNMP agent. Typically, this is port 161. SNMP Version – Specify the SNMP version used on this system. Location – Select the location to use for sampling. Object ID Object ID – Displays the object ID for the selected object. Clicking GO displays the object’s value in the Object Value field. Launch Metric Wizard – Starts the Metric Creation Wizard for creating metrics. Object Value – Displays the object’s value on the configured host device when you click GO. Syntax – Displays the syntax of the selected object as found in the MIB file. Access – Displays the type of access of the selected object as found in the MIB file.
