Configuring Process Monitors
2. The Monitor Types box lists all of the types of monitors that
can be applied to your monitor group. Click Process to add a
monitor that confirms that a process on a host is within the
specified measurement. Use settings on the General tab to
configure each Process monitor.
Use the options on this tab to specify the host name and process
to be monitored. The process may be specified by process name
(e.g. httpd) or by process name and commandline string (e.g.
httpd (./lib/httpd -f)). The agent monitors one of three attributes
(count, memory usage, and CPU usage) for all processes with the
given name or commandline.
Import/Export – Click this button to display the Import Export
Monitors dialog box for importing or exporting monitors of this
type. Refer to ―Exporting and Importing Monitors,‖ later in this
chapter for more information.
DNS Name – Specifies the name or IP address of the host.
