Global Metric Manager
Monitor Type – Specifies the type of monitor you want to create:
Log File – Select this monitor type to monitor a log file.
Directory – Select this monitor type to monitor a directory.
File/Directory Name – Specifies the path to the log file or directory
that you want to monitor. For example, c:\temp\mlog.txt.
Metric Type – Select the type of metric. The metric types that are
available depend on the type of monitor you are using:
Log File Monitor
Perl Expression – select this option when you want to use a Perl
expression to collect numerical performance data from a log file
entry.
Number of Matching Records – this metric returns the number of
records that match the entered Perl expression.
