Configuring SNMP Monitors
expressed in milliseconds, setting Scale to .001 will translate it
to seconds.
Version – Select the SNMP version being used.
The following additional fields are displayed for SNMP version
3:
User Name – Enter the user name to use to log in to the SNMP
version 3 protocol.
Password – Enter the password to use to log in to the SNMP
version 3 protocol.
Auth – Select the authentication hashing function to use: MD5
or SHA.
Auth Mode – Select the authentication mode.
NoAuth/NoPriv – No authentication and no privileges.
Auth/NoPriv – Authentication and no privileges.
Auth/Priv – Both Authentication and privileges.
Privacy Mode – Select the method to use for encrypting the
data.
Privacy Password – If you have selected a privacy mode,
enter the password.
Context – Enter the context setting that matches the setting in
the device that is being monitored. Typically, it is a name that
describes the device. For example, ―bridge.‖
Translation Type – Select No Translation if the value requires no
further modification. The Rate translation type means that the
value should be calculated as frequency per minute.
