SNMP Dialog Box
Use this dialog box to add the SNMP data source to a metric or
modify how an SNMP data source is configured. SNMP (Simple
Network Management Protocol) is a widely used protocol that
governs network management and the monitoring of network hosts
and devices and their functions. OneSight’s SNMP data source
allows you to monitor hosts and devices that have SNMP enabled
(see Adding a Data Source for more information).
Object ID Settings
Object ID – Specify an Object ID (OID). OneSight only uses objects
that return numeric values. If the Object ID you enter does not begin
with a ―.‖, OneSight assumes the OID is within the MIB-II
(.1.3.6.1.2.1) hierarchy. Enter the following information in the
Object ID box.
Get – Enter the OID and append the instance identifier to it. For
scalar objects, the instance is always 0. For example, if you want
to retrieve the MIB-2 sysUpTime (.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3) object, enter
.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 in the Object ID box, since there is only one
