Configuring TCP/IP Socket Monitors
2. The Monitor Types box lists all of the types of monitors that
can be applied to your monitor group. Click TCP/IP Socket to
add a monitor that will collect data from a remote TCP/IP port.
TCP/IP Port – Enter the TCP/IP port that you want OneSight to
connect to. Data must be being sent down this port.
Metric Type – Select the type of metric.
Perl Expression – select this option when you want to use a
Perl expression to collect data.
Number of Matching Records – this metric returns the number
of records that matched the entered Perl expression.
Total Records Encountered Since Last Sample – this metric
returns the number of records written since the last sample.
Time Since Last Modified – this metric returns the length of
time since data was sent to the channel.
