Installing OneSight
Services
The following services should be up and running when the
installation is complete:
Empirix OneSight on the Server machine. The process is
OSServer.exe.
Empirix OneSight Data Collector for each Data Collector
installed either on the Server or monitored machines. There are
two processes: AHP.exe and OSDC.exe.
Empirix OneSight NT Remote Agent on the monitored machine.
The process is AHP.exe.
Empirix OneSight PopChart on the Server machine. The process
is OSChart.exe.
Installing OneSight
Before you install Empirix OneSight, refer to the OneSight system
requirements. If you are upgrading OneSight, close the OneSight
Console before you run OneSight Setup. The OneSight setup will
uninstall the existing version, then stop. Rerun OneSight Setup to
continue.
Otherwise, the installation procedure is the same for both an initial
install and an upgrade. Upgrading does not require that you remove
the existing OneSight version first. The machine does not need to
be rebooted when the install is finished.
Note: If you are installing OneSight on a new server and you are
using a restored/existing database, use the same settings as the
previous installation. If you are not sure of the settings, consult with
Empirix support or professional services.
The OneSight server and reports can connect to the database server
through NTLM authentication using the jTDS driver. OneSight must
