NT Event Log Dialog Box
Use this dialog box to add or modify the NT Event Log data source
to a metric. The NT Event Log data source monitors events logged
in the Event Viewer.
Note: This data source applies to both Windows 2000 metrics and
Windows 2003 metrics.
Event log – Select whether the Windows event log that is being
monitored is an Application, System, or Security event log. You can
also specify a different type of log by typing its name here.
Inactivity sample count – If the Event Log data source detects that
the monitored log file does not log any new events for the number
of sample counts you enter here, a sample failure will result. A
value of 0 (the default) disables this setting.
Alert Collection Mode – Select how you want alerts to be processed.
