Configuring OneSight Compound Metric Monitors
Attribute – Lets you select based on attribute values.
The following fields are displayed when Monitor Group is
selected in the Group by field.
Monitor Group – Select the monitor group you want to use or
the monitor group that contains the monitor, metric, or alert
you want to reference.
Monitor – Select the monitor that you want to use or the
monitor that contains the metric or alert you want to
reference.
Metric – Select the metric you want to use or the metric that
contains the alert you want to reference.
Entity – Select the entity you want to use.
Alert – Select the alert that you want to reference.
The following fields are displayed when Attributes is selected in
the Group by field.
Attribute Set – Select the attribute set that you want to filter
on.
Attribute Value – Select the attribute values that you want to
filter on.
Monitor Type – Select the monitor type. This field is only
available when Reference Type is Metric Value or Alert State.
For these reference types, only the same type of metric or
alert can be compounded. For example, it does not make
sense to compound a Ping monitor with a Perfmon monitor
on metric value even though they have the same attribute
value.
Metric – Select the metric you want to use or the metric that
contains the alert you want to reference.
