Modifying System Definitions
The following option is available on the SNMP tab for individual
components.
Search for string – This field is automatically filled in as a result
of discovery based on the Object ID and Perl expression that
were entered.
VMProcess System Information
When you add a new VMProcess component, you must add
information to the Properties tabs to configure the data sources that
OneSight metrics use to obtain information about the VM
processes.
Component Tab – The Component Tab shows the name of the
VMWare process you are configuring. Changing this name will
affect the VMProcess entry on the left side of the System Editor
dialog box.
Name – In the Name box, specify a meaningful name that allows
you to identify the specific VMWare process you are adding.
SNMP Tab – Adding information to the Simple Network
Management Protocol (SNMP) tab enables OneSight to provide
specific performance and configuration information on network
devices, such as routers, or on hosts, such as workstations or
mainframes.
To use SNMP with OneSight, you must enable SNMP on the
machines you intend to monitor. For more information, see the
SNMP System Requirements. The OneSight Solaris profile queries
the Sun SNMP agent for Sun’s MIB and the RFC-1213 (MIB-2).
The following options are available on the SNMP tab for the

Object ID (to override default discovery) – Enter the object ID of
the object you want to discover if it is different than the default
