Configuring Service Monitors
2. The Monitor Types box lists all of the types of monitors that
can be applied to your monitor group. Click Service to add a
monitor that confirms that a service on a Windows machine has
been started. Use settings on the General tab to configure each
Service monitor.
Use the options on this tab to specify the Windows information
about the machine on which you want to monitor services.
Import/Export – Click this button to display the Import Export
Monitors dialog box for importing or exporting monitors of this
type. Refer to ―Exporting and Importing Monitors,‖ later in this
chapter for more information.
System Identification Settings
DNS Name – Specifies the DNS name of the Windows
machine. In many environments, this is the same as the
NetBIOS name, described below.
