Globally Changing Proxy Settings
When you accept the configuration, a monitor is added for each
host in the file, using the settings specified in OneSight, unless
individual properties are specified in the file. If a monitor by the
same name already exists, it will be overwritten. In this way, group
modifications can be made. For example, you could modify the
sample rate for a group of monitors.
A sample file, monitors.xml, is provided in the imports directory.
The format of the variable is %filename%, where filename is the
name of the XML file in the imports directory. Because this
implementation is a form of variable substitution, the actual host
value in the XML file can be the entire value for the Host field or it
can be a substring within the field. For example,
http://www.%filename%.com?myarg=val.
To add multiple monitors:
1. Setup the monitors file in the imports directory using the
monitors.xml file as a template.
2. On the Monitors Page, click Add New to open the Add Monitor
dialog box.
3. Select the type of monitor you are adding.
4. Make any necessary configuration changes on the tabs.
5. Enter %filename% in the Host field.
6. Click OK.
Globally Changing Proxy Settings
You can change the proxy server settings for all monitors of the
same type at the same time rather than changing each monitor
individually. To change proxy server settings for all monitors of the
