In almost every respect, humans are the most<br />

neutral and the norm of the humanoid races. Other<br />

races consider humans to be corrupt, greedy, and<br />

power-hungry. As a race, humans are more insecure,<br />

but are also more adaptable than other races.<br />

Many humans consider the human race to be superior<br />

to all others, and most human cultures seek to<br />

expand.<br />

Although humans have the most diverse diet,<br />

most human peasants survive merely on bread and<br />

ale. Humans from southern climates have more diverse<br />

diets than those from the north.<br />

Physical Description: Humans, including<br />

Temperament Modifiers: No modifiers.<br />

Sociality: Humans, by and large, are uneducated<br />

peasants working in the service of a lord,<br />

though this varies depending on urbanity. Like<br />

kobolds, humans reproduce frequently, and often<br />

consider large families desirable, whether the parents<br />

can afford to feed them or not.<br />

Language: Sapien.<br />

Occupation: Any. Humans begin work at<br />

age 10.<br />

Skills: Due to their short lives, humans receive<br />

no bonus skills.<br />

Religion: Humans range from devoutly religious<br />

to irreligious. Of all the races, humans have<br />

the widest selection of gods, though they also differ<br />

sharply from culture to culture.<br />

Names: Common male first names include<br />

John and Thomas. Common female first names<br />

include Helen and Sarah. Common last names include<br />

Hall and Smith.<br />
