Crossbow, Hand: A hand crossbow is one<br />

that may be reloaded by hand or without needing a<br />

mechanism. After a bolt is projected at a foe, the<br />

tip of the crossbow is placed on the ground, the<br />

user places the tip of their foot in a stirrup at its<br />

base, and the user pulls back on the sinew, cocking<br />

it again, which takes 2 rounds. BCT is 2 weeks for a<br />

bowyer.<br />

Crossbow, Wheel and Ratchet: Once<br />

fired, this weapon must be cocked again by using a<br />

mechanism consisting of a wheel and a ratchet.<br />

Although it takes 3 rounds to reload this weapon,<br />

the bolt is projected with incredible force. BCT is 2<br />

weeks for a bowyer.<br />

Dagger: Ranging from 11-18” in length, this<br />

weapon consists of a handle and a blade with 2 edges.<br />

This weapon may be used for both melee and missile<br />

combat. Daggers are very popular weapons,<br />

often used as eating utensils, and commonly hidden<br />

in boots. BCT is 1 week for a bladesmith.<br />

Dagger, Dirk: Essentially, a dirk is a larger<br />

dagger that has only 1 sharpened edge. Dirks are<br />

not balanced and may not be thrown properly. BCT<br />

is 1 week for a bladesmith.<br />

Dagger, Stiletto: This weapon is usually illegal<br />

wherever one may go, since it is so popular<br />

among assassins, easily hidden, and very lethal. The<br />

blade of this dagger has 3 edges, appearing triangular<br />

if observed from the tip. An edge of the blade<br />

is no more than ¾” across at its widest near the thin<br />

handle, and the blade tapers to a very fine point.<br />

BCT is 2 weeks for a weaponsmith.<br />

Dart: Very similar in size and shape to arrows,<br />

darts do not have fletching, but only a pole<br />

and a metal tip. Darts are hurled at foes. BCT is 1<br />

day for a weaponsmith.<br />

Flask:- This is a small, glass fixture designed<br />

to hold a small amount of liquid. If need be, flasks<br />

may be hurled at foes. BCT is 1 day for a glassblower.<br />

Flask, Oil: This is a small, glass fixture designed<br />

to hold a small amount of liquid. In this<br />

case, it is filled with oil. The oil-filled flask is hurled<br />

at foes. BCT is 1 day for a glassblower.<br />

File, Metal: This weapon is a long, thin piece<br />

of metal that has a rough texture. Normally, this<br />

utensil is used to file away at metal, but it may be<br />

used as a small club. BCT is 1 day for a blacksmith.<br />

Flail, Footman’s, Holy Water Sprinkler:<br />

This 2-handed flail consists of a 3’ pole and swivel<br />

link at the end, upon which swings an 8” metal rod<br />

with a spiked ball at the end. This flail has no chain.<br />

BCT is 1 week for a weaponsmith.<br />

Flail, Footman’s, Military: This 2-handed<br />

flail consists of a 3’ pole and a swivel link at the end,<br />
