Bestow Numbness<br />

Discipline: Fire<br />

Range: Touch<br />

Area: 6 square inches of flesh<br />

Duration: 3 rounds to an exponential power equal<br />

to the level of the caster<br />

Ritual: See Chapter 11: Magic<br />

Description: Casting this spell causes an area of<br />

skin on another to lose all sensation after<br />

the caster touches it. The target creature<br />

must be touched successfully. If the target<br />

creature resists being touched, then the<br />

caster must make a Brawling skill check (see<br />

Chap. 8: Skills). This spell is used for many<br />

purposes. For instance, if a foe’s hand becomes<br />

numb, then they are 80% likely to<br />

drop their weapon.<br />

Bestow Paralysis<br />

Level: 2<br />

Magic Points: 16<br />

Discipline: Fire<br />

Range: Touch<br />

Area: 1 creature<br />

Duration: Permanent<br />

Ingredients: See Chapter 11: Magic<br />

Ritual: See Chapter 11: Magic<br />

Description: Casting this spell causes a creature<br />

to become paralyzed. The target creature<br />

must be touched successfully. If the target<br />

creature resists being touched, then the<br />

caster must make a Brawling skill check (see<br />

Chap. 8: Skills). This spell affects only 2 LP<br />

to an exponential power equal to the level<br />

of the caster. Creatures are unaffected if<br />

they have more LP than the caster is capable<br />

of affecting.<br />

Once touched, a target creature must<br />

make a Health check. Consult the table below:<br />

Victims of Bestow Paralysis are able<br />

to move their eyes, unless their Health TH<br />

was less than 9. Further, victims are able to<br />

think clearly. Although the neck of a victim<br />

suffering ‘bodily paralysis’ will not move, the<br />

victim is aware of their condition and surroundings;<br />

they are simply unable to move<br />

or react.<br />
