Description: Casting this spell enrages a target<br />

creature. The target creature will attempt<br />

to do nothing but physical harm to others<br />

nearby. For example, if cast on a wizard,<br />

then they would ignore casting and most<br />

likely attack with any weapon available. Affected<br />

creatures are often reported to have<br />

a sardonic grin during the fit of rancor. To<br />

be unaffected by the spell, the target creature<br />

must pass a Wisdom check with a TH<br />

of 17.<br />

The target creature must be touched<br />

successfully. If the target creature resists<br />

being touched, then the caster must make a<br />

Brawling skill check (see Chap. 8: Skills). The<br />

type of creature affected increases with the<br />

caster’s level as shown on the following table:<br />

by the caster to feel compelled to scream as<br />

loudly as possible for the duration of the<br />

spell. As the caster increases in occupational<br />

level, the target will scream for a longer duration.<br />

To resist this mental domination, the<br />

target must pass a Drive check of TH 16.<br />

Area: 1 creature<br />

Duration: 1d10 minutes<br />

Ritual: See Chapter 11: Magic<br />

Description: Casting this spell allows the caster to<br />

induce creatures to succumb to slumber.<br />

The target creature must be touched successfully.<br />

If the target creature resists being<br />

touched, then the caster must make a Brawling<br />

skill check (see Chap. 8: Skills).<br />

If touched successfully, then the<br />

spell is able to force 1d10 LP of a creature<br />

into a deep sleep. After the spell expires,<br />

the creature will awaken suddenly. This spell<br />

is usually powerful enough to put small animals<br />

and infants to sleep. A creature may<br />

not be partially forced into slumber. Either<br />

they fall asleep, or the spell has no noticeable<br />

effect.<br />
