Chapter 13: Magical Items<br />

23-33 Staff of Ether: Whosoever<br />

wields this staff may cast any spell from the<br />

discipline of ether. Each staff when created<br />

has 1d1000 Magic Points that may be<br />

used per year.<br />

34-44 Staff of Fire: Whosoever<br />

wields this staff may cast any spell from the<br />

discipline of fire. Each staff when created<br />

has 1d1000 Magic Points that may be used<br />

per day.<br />

45-55 Staff of Druids: This staff<br />

doubles the Magic Points of a druid. This<br />

staff only functions for a druid.<br />

56-66 Staff of Water: Whosoever<br />

wields this staff may cast any spell from the<br />

discipline of water. Each staff when created<br />

has 1d1000 Magic Points that may be<br />

used per day.<br />

67-77 Staff of Hierophants: This<br />

staff doubles the Magic Points of a<br />

hierophant. This staff only functions for a<br />

hierophant.<br />

78-88 Staff of Mages: This staff<br />

doubles the Magic Points of a mage. This<br />

staff only functions for a mage.<br />

89-100 Staff of Sorcery: This staff<br />

doubles the Magic Points of a sorcerer. This<br />

staff only functions for a sorcerer.<br />

Torture Devices<br />

A torture device is an object that has been<br />

created to assist a torturor. Non-magical torture<br />

devices are described in Chapter 9: Equipment.<br />

01-12 Headcrusher of Healing:<br />

At the moment that the last Life Point would<br />

be crushed from a victim’s head, this torture<br />

device is 80% likely to heal the victim,<br />

fully restoring them to their potential LP.<br />

13-25 Pear of Pleasure: Whenever<br />

this pear is opened within an orifice of<br />

a character, pleasure will be felt while the<br />

damage is inflicted.<br />

26-37 Rack of Recognition: If a<br />

character lies when asked a question and<br />

while affixed to this rack, the rack will recognize<br />

the lie and tighten automatically. If<br />

a character tells the truth when asked a question<br />

and while affixed to this rack, the rack<br />

will loosen automatically.<br />

38-50 Stocks of Sordidness:<br />

Whosoever is placed in these stocks will be<br />

filthy physically for the rest of their life.<br />

51-62 Thumbscrews of Terror:<br />

Whosoever wears these thumbscrews will be<br />

unable to move or speak due to extreme terror,<br />

especially toward whoever fastened<br />

them. Both must be worn for the magical<br />

effect to occur.<br />

63-75 Thumbscrews of Trust:<br />

Whosoever wears these thumbscrews will<br />

implicitly trust whoever fastened them. Both<br />

must be worn for the magical effect to occur.<br />

76-88 Whirligig of Weakness:<br />

Whosoever endures a spin in this whirligig<br />

will permanently lose 1d10 points of their<br />

Strength sub-ability. This whirligig functions<br />

only once per character.<br />

89-100 Whirligig of Wisdom:<br />

Whosoever endures a spin in this whirligig<br />

will permanently gain 1d10 points in their<br />

Wisdom ability. This whirligig functions only<br />

once per character. Perhaps, with the added<br />

Wisdom the character will avoid punishment<br />

in the future.<br />
