Apparel, Gloves<br />

Gloves are fashioned of leather or cloth. A<br />

glove is fitted to a hand and may protect it from<br />

harm or cold. Both gloves must be worn for magical<br />

effects to occur, unless otherwise stated.<br />

A robe is a long, loose, outer garment cut in<br />

flowing lines and used for ordinary wear by both<br />

men and women. The robe must be worn for magical<br />

effects to occur, unless otherwise stated.<br />

Chapter 13: Magical Items<br />

01-20 Cursed Gloves of Self-<br />

Strangulation: Whosoever wears these<br />

gloves must pass a Common Sense sub-ability<br />

check at TH 17 or attempt to strangle<br />

themselves into unconsciousness for 3d10<br />

rounds. Upon awakening, another Common<br />

Sense check must be made to refrain from<br />

self-strangulation. Once worn, the wearer<br />

will resist all attempts to remove the gloves.<br />

21-40 Gloves of Hand-Eye Coordination:<br />

Whosoever wears these gloves<br />

notices that they conform closely to the<br />

wearer’s hands and magically bestow an increase<br />

of 1d100 Hand-Eye Coordination.<br />

By degree, each pair of Gloves of Hand-<br />

Eye Coordination differ.<br />

41-60 Gloves of Odium: Whosoever<br />

wears these gloves will experience an<br />

increase of 1d100 points in their choleric<br />

temperament. This may cause a change in<br />

temperament. Typically, this increase results<br />

in hostility toward others.<br />

61-80 Gloves of Spanking: Whosoever<br />

wears these gloves will be compelled<br />

to spank the buttocks of a member of the<br />

opposite sex who has a Bodily Attractiveness<br />

of at least 130. To resist the urge to<br />

spank, the wearer must pass a Drive subability<br />

check at TH 21. Otherwise, the wearer<br />

will not be satisfied until they have spanked<br />

1d10 times with (1d100)% of their possible<br />

force.<br />

81-100 Gloves of Strangulation:<br />

Whosoever wears these gloves must pass a<br />

Common Sense sub-ability check at TH 17<br />

or attempt to strangle the first creature seen<br />

with a neck. Once worn, the wearer will<br />

resist all attempts to remove the gloves.<br />

01-09 Poison Robe of the Hidden<br />

Flame: This robe is dark-golden in<br />

color, and while the wearer will not detect<br />

anything until fully worn, this robe will both<br />

poison the victim (Health TH of 18 or die)<br />

and burn their marrow with an invisible fire<br />

(1d8 LP damage per round worn).<br />

10-18 Robe of Chaos: Whosoever<br />

wears this robe experiences an increase<br />

of 1d1000 Magic Points in, and only in, chaos<br />

magic. This robe has no effect on a character<br />

who is incapable of casting magic. By<br />

degree, each Robe of Chaos differs.<br />

19-27 Robe of Mysterious Erections:<br />

Whosoever wears this robe will experience<br />

an erection that lasts as long as the<br />

robe is worn. If the wearer is male, then<br />

the manhood of the wearer will become<br />

erect and protrude forth with might; the<br />

erection of the male will be obvious to any<br />

character who sees the wearer regardless of<br />

the size of the manhood. If the wearer is<br />

female, then the nipples of the wearer will<br />

become erect and be clearly visible through<br />

the robe; the erect nipples will be obvious<br />

to any character who sees the wearer regardless<br />

of the size of the nipple. What is mysterious<br />

about these erections, aside from the<br />

fact that they occur while the robe is worn,<br />

is that the wearer is completely unaware of<br />

being erect.<br />

28-36 Robe of Reading: Whosoever<br />

wears this robe will be able to read any<br />

language. The wearer will not be able to<br />

speak or write in the observed language.<br />

However, whatever is written will be read<br />

and understood by the wearer.<br />

37-45 Robe of Realization:<br />

Whosoever wears this robe will be able to<br />

realize the actions of a character 1 round<br />

before they occur.<br />
