provide certain notice to the Department within a certain time period; requiring the<br />

Department to adopt certain regulations jointly with the Comptroller; requiring the<br />

Department to approve certain applications within a certain time period and in a<br />

certain manner; providing that if certain notice is not provided within a certain<br />

time period, the Department is required to rescind certain tax credit certificates;<br />

providing limits on the amount <strong>of</strong> certain tax credits and the aggregate amount <strong>of</strong><br />

tax credits that may be approved by the Department in a calendar year; providing<br />

for a carryforward <strong>of</strong> certain tax credits and providing that certain tax credits may<br />

be transferred under certain circumstances; allowing certain transferred tax credits<br />

to be claimed against the State income tax and authorizing certain business entities<br />

to rely on certain information; requiring the Department to submit a certain report<br />

by a certain date each year; defining certain terms; providing for the application <strong>of</strong><br />

this Act; and generally relating to a State income tax credit for certain eligible<br />

expenses <strong>of</strong> corporations that locate to a higher education–affiliated research park.<br />

AN ACT concerning<br />

HIV Testing – Prohibited Exposure – Victims<br />

FOR the purpose <strong>of</strong> including a forensic scientist who works under the direction <strong>of</strong> a law<br />

enforcement agency within the list <strong>of</strong> possible victims <strong>of</strong> prohibited exposure to<br />

HIV; including a forensic scientist who works under the direction <strong>of</strong> a law<br />

enforcement agency within the definition <strong>of</strong> a public safety worker required to test<br />

for HIV in the event <strong>of</strong> a certain exposure; and generally relating to victims <strong>of</strong><br />

prohibited HIV exposure.<br />
